JC’s Run for funds
John Cominsky looks to his next career as he recently finished his NFL campaign in Spring 2025. He will be pursuing Personal Training certifications and hopes to be applying his knowledge as soon as Fall 2025. In training, Cominsky is committed to expanding the confidence of his participants with the knowledge gained through his experience as an NFL player. With his new career, he also wants to offer more camps throughout the year. More camps means more fundraising!
As part of this push for additional camps, John will be running in the Akron Half Marathon on September 27th! He will be sporting a t-shirt that will bolster the businesses who support him. It will cost $150 to be listed on the back of the shirt and $250 to have your business logo on 1 of 11 front of shirt locations (9 on torso, 1 on each sleeve). The “Dollar-per-mile” pledges you in to donating 1 dollar for every mile ran by John, in training for the event (estimated $250-$400). #runforfunds

One of our immediate goals is to provide support for children that do not have reliable access to food. In order to begin providing critical support to these hungry children in our communities, we started a program in our local schools called Backpack Blessings. Backpack Blessings provides non-perishable food items in reusable backpacks for children that do not have dependable access to food outside of school. For us to continue to feed our local school children and more, we need your help! Please consider donating to The Cominsky Family Foundation to support initiatives like our Backpack Blessings program to provide much needed support in defeating childhood hunger in our communities.
